Meet the Principals

Welcome to Ladue Fifth Grade Center!

I am honored to serve as principal of the Fifth Grade Center. Here, students from all four elementary schools, along with families who are new to Ladue, come together to begin an exciting new chapter. We want every student to feel safe, known, respected, and have a true sense of belonging from the moment they walk through our doors. When students feel connected to their school community, they gain the confidence to take risks, build meaningful friendships, discover new interests, and grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Fifth grade serves as an important bridge between elementary school and middle school. During this pivotal year, our staff strives to create engaging learning experiences while partnering closely with families to support each child's growth and success. I look forward to getting to know your family and working together to make fifth grade a year filled with growth and lasting memories!

Having taught English Language Arts at the Fifth Grade Center before stepping into the assistant principal position, I have a unique perspective on how impactful the Fifth Grade Center can be for our students. Our staff culture and passion for student growth, both academically and social-emotionally, is the hallmark of our building. We hear that people can “feel the energy” when they walk through the Fifth Grade Center doors. Our goals are to help students gain real world skills, grow academically, and feel connected with their classmates and school community.

I hold bachelor’s degrees in Parks and Recreation Administration and Elementary Education, alongside master’s degrees in Public Administration and Educational Leadership. I am also a Wilson Certified Dyslexia Practitioner. Within the Ladue School District, I have been a student teacher, teaching assistant, assistant football coach, classroom teacher, and now assistant principal. I find my joy during the school day being in classrooms and watching our teachers work with our students, having informal conversations with students during passing period and lunch, and playing flag football and other games with our students during recess. I am confident our students, and families, will grow to love our building as much as I do. Go Dragons!
